|The Facility Manager II is responsible for operating a specialty revenue-producing facility. This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency policy.|
|Supervises the work of a medium-sized service/maintenance staff by interviewing applicants, making hire or termination decisions, assigning and reviewing work, training, and evaluating the performance of incumbents. Coordinates facility activities with other departments and the general public and makes special arrangements for customers upon request. Maintains facility records and prepares reports on business activities, revenue projections, cost control, and inventory control. Orders and receives supplies and equipment based on projected facility usage and recommends prices for services or saleable items to superiors. Provides information to customers and the general public on facility services and functions. Arranges major maintenance and repairs for facility and equipment. Performs other duties as assigned.|

|Knowledge of supervisory practices and procedures. Knowledge of inventory control, purchasing and procurement procedures, and customer service. Knowledge of bookkeeping principles. Ability to plan, organize, and oversee the work of subordinates and coordinate work activities. Ability to prepare reports and maintain records and files. Ability to greet customers and provide information concerning services and functions of the facility.|
|Minimum Education and/or Experience|
|The formal education equivalent of an associate’s degree in business, marketing, office administration or a related field; plus two years of experience in marketing or retail sales, including one year in a supervisory capacity. Additional requirements determined by the agency for recruiting purposes require review and approval by the Office of Personnel Management. This position manages the park store, pool, and seasonal café. Other duties include handling monetary transactions, balancing daily receipts, ordering and maintaining inventory, pricing and displaying items, merchandising/marketing, preparing annual budgets, hiring, training and disciplining employees, completing the menu cost analysis, following Serve-Safe guidelines, monitoring portion control and labor costs, and operating within our standard operating procedure guidelines. This position will perform other duties as assigned. Applicant must be able to work a varied schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays, must be able to lift up to 60 lbs., and must possess a valid driver’s license. A criminal background check is required.
